Our customer was tired of boring drywall surrounding their built in fireplace. They came to BMR and hunted for some rustic looking boards to make a “barn wood” look to accent the fireplace. This may be Fir or Cedar that has been “aged” to look like old wood. Many of our customers use steel wool and vinegar or a Tea stain to make the wood look old in a matter of hours/days vs actually tying to find genuine real barn wood that can be hard to find and costly. We always have lots of various options for species and sizes for this type of project.
