Beech Wood Hand Tool Bench, mortise and tenon leg bench for hand plane and hand tool work. I was planning this for 2025, but could not resist when I saw the Beech wood at BMR this winter. This is a massive bench, 8′ long, 21 inches wide, 5″ thick top, has a leg vise, and wagon vise. It does not move even a mm when I am plaining or sawing parts for guitars. The bench dogs hold tight in the very hard beech wood. I could not have asked for better materials. Thanks BMR! With leftovers, I was able to build a 2nd smaller bench for my neck vises, neck shaping tools, and to hold all my clamps for tops and backs. I also have some additional wood for other projects like specialty clamps for guitar bridges, sculptors’ hammers, and mortise and tenon mallets.
